AKP Group Vice President Mustafa Elitaş made a statement on the retirement age (EYT).

“Parliament took a 21-day recess from February 6. Our regional deputies and all our deputies wanted to be in the earthquake zone. That is why the work of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has been suspended until February 28,” Elitaş said, adding: “Tomorrow, the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey begins its work. Our first item on the agenda is EYT,” he said.

Elitaş said: “If all our parties support it, I think we will start the negotiations of the 4-point law proposal on EYT tomorrow and we will conclude on Wednesday.” (DHA)

THE APPLICATION OF “EYT ERTELENSIN” IN AKP

The measures to be taken after the earthquake were discussed at the AKP FMC meeting held during the week.

Some members of the VQA drew attention to the extensive damage caused by the earthquake and suggested that the EYT arrangement, which they claimed would be a great burden on the Treasury, be reviewed. In fact, one MYK member said: “Let’s postpone EYT regulation for a year.”

‘NO RETURN, JUST PASS’

President Erdoğan said that there will be no step back in the EYT regulation. Saying “We promised, there is no going back,” Erdogan demanded that the EYT regulation be enacted in its current form if the General Assembly of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly functions this week.

The Assembly will begin its work on Tuesday, February 21, after the earthquake. The EYT regulation is expected to be approved by Parliament on Tuesday or Wednesday.

2 MILLION 250 THOUSAND PEOPLE WILL RETIRE

With the enactment of the EYT regulation, 2.25 million people are expected to retire immediately, and 4 million people will be eligible to retire upon completing their premium days within 3-4 years.

THEY WILL WAIT 15 YEARS FOR 1 DAY

Employees who are insured on and before September 8, 1999 will be eligible for the EYT. Those hired after this date will be subject to the age requirement. Defending the regulation in the commission, AKP Group Vice President Mustafa Elitaş, when asked, said that an insured person who was employed on or before September 8, 1999 would retire at the age of 43, and those who were hired on September 9, 1999 would wait until age 60 to retire.

The opposition also criticizes the condition of September 8, 1999 and points out that those who miss the EYT will have to work another 15 years, and demands that the date of December 31, 1999 be taken as the basis for the regulation. the opposition’s objection to this date is the late start of citizen insurance due to the Düzce and Marmara earthquakes of 1999.

The opposition wants the apprentices to be included in the offer. The opposition also argued during the commission meetings that an adjustment arrangement must be made. It was also among the opposition’s suggestions that the monthly bail rate should be increased from 30 percent to 70 percent. The opposition recalled that before 1999 the reimbursement rate was 70 percent. The opposition made motions to correct these missing parts, but these motions were defeated by the votes of the AKP and MHP deputies.

WHO IS COVERED BY EYT?

The proposal to solve the 23-year-old problem will cover those who started working before September 8, 1999. There will be no age limit for the EYT, which will benefit 2 million 250 thousand people.

Since the EYT enactment process has not yet taken place, applications made at this time will not be valid. Once the legal process is complete, applications will be made to SSI through e-Government.

BAD NEWS FOR EYT VICTIMS OF INTERNSHIPS AND LEARNING

Approximately 2.5 million people will obtain the right to retirement after the regulation of the age of retirement (EYT). The interns and apprentices, to whom Labor Minister Vedat Bilgin tells: “They are not victims”, want the days they actually work to be counted as bonus days.

The proposal to include the bill, which includes the start of the apprenticeship and the internship as a basis for retirement, was rejected by the AKP-MHP votes.

WHAT ARE THE EYT APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS?

There is a premium day, an insurance period, and a retirement age requirement. EYT members will be able to retire regardless of age if or when they meet the first two conditions. This is 5,000 days of premium for SSK holders, 20 years for women and 25 years for men. 20 full years (7,200 premium days) for women and 25 full years (9,000 premium days) for men in BAĞ-KUR and Retirement Fund.

CAN I HAVE A PENSION FOR INDEBTEDNESS?

When the insured has done military service before starting work and the start date of the insurance is between September 9, 1999 and March 8, 2001, when they contract a military debt of 18 months, the start date of the insurance will withdraw as much as the period was owed to them. It is enough for them to get into debt only for the insurance to start on September 8, 1999.

CAN I DO MILITARY INDEBTEDNESS?

Those who enlisted in the military before their first insured date may advance their first insured date by incurring military debt. Thus, the date of benefiting from the EYT comes to the fore.

Since the premiums paid for military service, maternity loans, and foreign loans are calculated on the current minimum wage, those who submit their service loan application by December 31, 2022 will pay premiums on the minimum wage of this year, and those who request it after January 1, 2023 payment premiums on the new minimum wage increased by 54.66 percent.
