It has become difficult to hold extraordinary general assemblies in chambers of commerce
For the celebration of the extraordinary general assemblies of the professional organizations of merchants and artisans, the signatures certified before a notary public of two fifths of the partners will be required, instead of a quarter of the partners.
The Regulation amending the Regulation on the General Assemblies of Professional Organizations of Merchants and Artisans and the Ministerial Representatives or Government Commissioners who must attend these Assemblies, prepared by the Ministry of Commerce, was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force. .
Consequently, the general assemblies of the professional organizations of merchants and artisans can be summoned to an extraordinary meeting by the board of directors with a decision that will be made within the month following the request, and the minutes and the agenda must be prepared with the notarized signatures of two – fifths of the members of the general assembly, upon request made before a notary.
In previous practice, the signature of a quarter of the partners was sought for the extraordinary general assembly. (AA)
