Increased monetary limits on applications before the Insurance Arbitration Commission

Within the framework of the insurance law, the monetary limits for dispute claims filed before the Insurance Arbitration Commission have been increased.

According to the statement that modifies the statement of the Secretary of Regulation and Supervision of Insurance and Private Pensions (SEDDK) on the increase in monetary limits in paragraphs 12 and 15 of the insurance law, published in today’s edition of the Official Gazette, the request made to the Insurance Arbitration Commission Arbitrary decisions on disputes under 15 thousand TL will be final. This amount was applied as TL 8,000 in the previous application.

THE AMOUNT OF THE OBJECTION INCREASED FROM 8,000 TL to 15,000 TL

The amount that can be appealed against arbitration awards rendered to the Insurance Arbitration Commission has been increased from 8,000 TL to 15,000 TL, and the amount that can be appealed has been increased from 107,000 TL to 238,730 TL.

The amount given to the Insurance Arbitration Board and binding by the committee was increased from 24,000 TL to 50,000 TL. (Reuters)
