Appliance sales rose 21 percent in January
The Turkish Home Appliance Manufacturers Association (TÜRKESD) announced the data for domestic sales and exports for January 2023.
Consequently, white line production in four main products, namely refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher and oven, showed a limited increase of 2 percent in January 2023 compared to the same month of the previous year.
Production, which was 2,41,404 units in January 2022, increased to 2,74,948 units in January 2023.
As of the first month of 2023, national sales of 4 main products increased 21 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 613,561 units.
While exports contracted 10 percent in the first month of the year compared to January 2022; domestic sales and export
and total sales, including 2,407,148 units, decreased 2 percent.
‘ENERGY COSTS CONTINUE TO NEGATIVELY AFFECT’
TÜRKESD President Can Dinçer said: “Just like last year, the war, energy costs
