According to the “General Statement on Collections” of the Ministry of Finance and Income Administration, which came into effect after being published in the Official Gazette, taxpayers who owe their debts to the tax offices may request payment in installments if They find it difficult to pay off their debts.
If the debtor is in a very difficult situation and meets other conditions, the debt can be paid in installments, by deferral, within the conditions determined within the scope of the relevant article of Law No. 6183 on the Procedure for the Collection of Public Credits. .
Debtors whose claims are accepted receive letters showing they don’t have the tax debt they need for various reasons, as long as they pay 10 percent of their debts in installments.
WITHDRAWN UNTIL JULY 31 DUE TO EARTHQUAKE
Taking into account the economic and financial effects of the earthquakes that took place in KahramanmaraÅŸ on February 6, the practice of issuing a letter stating that there is no debt, subject to payment of 10 percent of deferred debts within the scope of said law , has been abolished until July 31.
In this context, according to the relevant law, those whose debts were paid in installments, if they have no other debts, may receive the “no debt” letter without paying 10 percent of their debts in installments. (AA)
