TURKSTAT announced the daily wages of agricultural workers
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Wage Structure of the Labor Force of Agricultural Companies for 2022.
Consequently, in 2022, the daily wages of seasonal farm workers increased by 87.1% compared to the previous year and reached TL 238, while the monthly wages of permanent farm workers increased by 89.4% to 6 547 TL.
While the wages of male temporary workers increased by 82.8 percent to 253 TL, the daily wages of female workers increased by 91.6 percent to 225 TL.
While the monthly salary paid to permanent agricultural workers increased by 88.9% to TL 6,729 for male workers, it increased by 88.4% to TL 5,393 for female workers.

BELOW THE MINIMUM WAGE FOR WOMEN
While the average daily wage for seasonal workers in agricultural enterprises was TL 127 in 2021, it increased to TL 238 in 2022.
The monthly salary of permanent workers, on the other hand, was 5,393 TL for women and remained below the minimum wage of 5,500 TL made in July 2022.
THE HIGHEST PAYMENT IS IN ARDAHAN, THE LOWEST IN HATAY
In 2022, the highest daily wage paid to seasonal agricultural workers in agricultural enterprises was in Ardahan at TL362 for male workers and in Ordu at TL305 for female workers.
The lowest wage was paid in Hatay and Ankara provinces with TL 191 for male workers and TL 139 for female workers in Hatay province.
HIGHEST PAY FOR PERMANENT WORKERS IN CANAKKALE AND IZMIR
Looking at the monthly wages paid to farm workers in agricultural enterprises, it was seen that Çanakkale with 7,750 TL for male workers and İzmir with 5,550 TL for female workers were the provinces where the highest payment was made.
The lowest wages were in Osmaniye with 5,000 TL for male workers and in Antalya with 5,347 TL for female workers.
