The seasonally adjusted capacity utilization rate (KKO-MA) in the manufacturing industry decreased by 0.1 percentage points from the previous month and decreased to 75.7 percent.
The Capacity Utilization Rate (CUR) without seasonal adjustment decreased 0.1 percentage points compared to the previous month and went to 75.2 percent. This rate was recorded as the base of the 23 months after March 2021.
CUR data was assessed by the Central Bank in February 2023 through aggregate responses to the Business Trend Survey of 1,678 workplaces operating in the manufacturing industry.
The responses of the February Business Trends Survey were compiled as of February 1, and the weighted response rate of enterprises located in 11 earthquake-affected provinces decreased from 87.0 percent in the previous month to 61.1 percent. in February.
DECREASE IN THE PRODUCTION OF INTERMEDIATE GOODS
The capacity utilization rate in the production of intermediate goods, which was 75.6 percent in January, decreased to 74.9 percent in February. In investment goods, this rate was 77 percent in January and 78.1 percent in February. In the same period, an increase of 0.1 percentage points was registered in consumer goods and the CUR rose to 73.1 percent.
While the ratio in durable consumer goods increased 0.7 points to 71.4 percent, the level of 73.4 percent in non-durable goods was maintained.
