New regulations for farmers affected by earthquake
After the earthquake, some arrangements were made regarding the support to be paid to farmers in Adana, Malatya, Hatay, Şanlıurfa, Kilis, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Osmaniye and Elazığ provinces.
In this context, the support for diesel and fertilizers, which have been delivered in kind to farmers starting in 2022, will be paid in cash for 11 provinces affected by the earthquake. The subsidies for diesel and fertilizers, totaling 2.8 billion Turkish lira, will be deposited in farmers’ accounts until the end of February.
EXTENDED DATES
The product update deadline of February 28, 2023 for producers applying for Farmer Registration System (ÇKS) for this production year has been set as May 8, 2023.
The application period for the period 2022-2023 for economic investments based on agriculture within the scope of support for rural development has been extended until May 8, 2023 in the provinces affected by the earthquake and until February 28, 2023. 2023 in other provinces.
The application deadlines are May 8 for organic farming and good practices, March 31 for aid for soil analysis and May 2 for aid to pay the difference in oilseed crops.
For investments in rural economic infrastructure, the project evaluation period for the period 2022-2023 was extended until May 8, 2023 in the provinces in the earthquake zone and until March 10, 2023 in the other provinces.
SUPPORT WILL END IN FEBRUARY
Payments for raw milk, breeding calves, sheep and goats, cattle fattening, bee hives, herd rearing and renewal allowances in the amount of 530 million lira payable throughout the year will be withdrawn in the accounts of the producers in February for the mentioned provinces.
In addition, 185,000 companies in these provinces will receive food support of 500 TL per animal for 2 million cattle and 50 TL per animal for 9 million sheep.
On the other hand, support payments of 530 million liras to be paid to citizens in these provinces throughout the year will be made until the end of February. (AA)
