House prices rose 167.8 percent in one year
The Central Bank (CBRT) announced the House Price Index (KPI) data for December 2022.
Consequently, the KPI, which increased 5.3 percent in December 2022 compared to the previous month, increased 167.8 percent compared to the same month last year.
In the same period, house prices increased by 168.3% in Izmir, 172.2% in Ankara and 174.2% in Istanbul.

THE LARGEST INCREASE IS AGAIN IN ANTALYA
The highest annual increase was observed in Antalya, Burdur and Isparta with 212.6 percent. This increase was 183.9 percent in Edirne, Tekirdağ and Kırklareli; Adana and Mersin followed with 182.9 percent.
HERE IS THE LATEST AVERAGE PRICE SITUATION…
While the price per square meter across the country was TL 16,984 in November, it reached TL 17,752 in December.
Thus, while the average price of a 100 square meter house was 1,698,410 TL in November, it reached 1,775,200 TL in December.
In Istanbul, prices per square meter rose to TL 27,882. Thus, the price of a 100-square-meter apartment in Istanbul increased to 2,788,200 TL as of December 2022.
