In the TBB statement, it was reported that the union’s board of directors discussed the works in the earthquake zone, and it was evaluated that the service was provided with a network of physical branches, ATMs, and mobile branches in order to maintain demands of customers without interruption in almost all points of the region.

In the statement, it was indicated that technical studies were carried out to reactivate the usable branches in order to further expand the service network in a short time and opportunities for cooperation in the creation of temporary service units were discussed, and it was indicated that some additional recommendations were taken as advice for customers affected by the earthquake.

According to the recommendations taken, the existing loan debts, installments and non-cash loans, which were made available to individual business enterprises and natural persons in Adıyaman, Hatay, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Osmaniye provinces and districts from İslahiye and Nurdağı from Gaziantep province, before February 6 and due until August 31, commissions can be postponed up to 6 months without interest.

Member merchants will not be charged for lost/misplaced POS devices. In addition, no bank service commission will be charged.

By 2023, credit card commissions from natural and legal persons cannot be accumulated. Merchant/POS usage fees will also not be charged during 2023.

RECOMMENDATION NOT TO FOLLOW UP AND NOT TO APPLY FOREIGN CREDITS

Regarding administrative practices such as foreclosure, foreclosure, monitoring; All accounts receivables may not be tracked, foreclosures may not occur, and foreclosure sale transactions may not occur.

Although the payment terms of the structured credits can be postponed without interest, the release decision cannot be executed and complaints for breach of commitment cannot be presented. In addition, at the request of the debtor, the actions previously initiated can be stopped and the sales postponed for the files received on the day of the sale.

The automatic collection made for the following creditors will stop. Tracking blocks on customer accounts can also be removed.

It will not be possible to carry out an active management of collection of overdue credits, not even through administrative channels. Communication and collection activities will also be suspended for clients who have not yet been transferred to their monitoring accounts, who are unable to make their loan payments on time and are expected to be unable to do so.

DEBTS OF PEOPLE WHO DIED IN THE EARTHQUAKE CAN BE SETTLED

According to the recommendations, debts/loan installments and non-cash loan commissions of individual business enterprises and natural persons in other provinces in the earthquake zone can be postponed for 1 month without interest.

Customers who are out of reach, located in the earthquake zone and damaged by the earthquake will be able to postpone their debts and existing loan installments if they apply and document that they have suffered damage, to be evaluated on a customer basis.

Loan debts from individual business customers and actual persons who died in the earthquake, insurance payments subject to the loan will be deducted from the loan debt, and remaining debts can be erased. (AA)
