Retail sales increased 21.8% in 2022

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the retail sales indices for December 2022.

Consequently, the volume of retail sales at constant prices increased 21.8 percent in December 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased 12.9 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) 28 percent, and sales of auto fuel increased 15.7 percent.

Retail sales volume at constant prices increased 4.8 percent in December 2022 compared to the previous month. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased 1.9 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) 5.5 percent, and sales of auto fuel 6. 9 percent.

FUEL SALES DECREASED 3 PERCENT IN DECEMBER

Retail billing at current prices increased by 112.4 percent in December 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased 109 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) increased 116.6 percent, and sales of auto fuel increased 103, 7 percent.

In monthly terms, retail billing at current prices increased 3.3 percent in December 2022 compared to the previous month.

In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased 2.5 percent, sales of non-food products (excluding auto fuel) increased 5.8 percent, while sales of auto fuel decreased by 3 percent.
