Consequently, the terms of foreign trade, which was calculated by dividing the unit value index of exports by the unit value index of imports and which was obtained at 82.8 in December 2021, decreased 1.3 points to 81 ,5 in December 2022.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the terms of foreign trade decreased 3.2 points compared to the same period of the previous year and went to 77.9. In 2022, it decreased 11.1 points compared to the previous year and went to 74.8.

QUANTITY DECREASED, VALUE INCREASED

The export unit value index rose 7 percent in December compared with the same month a year earlier.

Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index increased 12.4 percent in food, beverages, and tobacco, 1.9 percent in raw materials (excluding fuel), 27.5 percent in fuels, and 5.6 percent in the manufacturing industry (without food). , drinks, tobacco). .

The export unit value index increased by 4.9% in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. The index increased 7.9 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year.

The export quantity index decreased 3.7 percent in December compared to the same month of the previous year.

Compared with the same month of the previous year, the index decreased 3.6 percent in food, beverages and tobacco, and 4.4 percent in the manufacturing industry (excluding food, beverages, tobacco), while 19.2 percent percent in raw materials (excluding fuels) and 10.5 percent in fuels.

The export quantity index decreased 2.1 percent in the fourth quarter of 2022 compared to the fourth quarter of the previous year. The index increased 4.8 percent in 2022 compared to the previous year.

The unit value index of imports increased 8.6 percent in December compared to the same month of the previous year.
