In the written statement made by EMRA; It was reported that all representatives of the sector made maximum efforts to avoid fuel shortages in the region after the earthquake that affected 10 provinces. In the statement, “As you will remember, from the first moment of the earthquake, our institution has taken the necessary measures to avoid any problem or loss of time in the supply of fuel and has eliminated all the restrictions of the legislation. Whereas approximately 6 million liters of fuel were sold in 10 provinces before the earthquake, this figure increased by more than 100 percent and reached approximately 13 million liters after the earthquake.

He indicated that although there were difficulties in supplying some points due to weather conditions and the state of some roads that were affected by the severity of the earthquake, he indicated that most of the tanker trucks that transported fuel managed to reach their destination, and said: “Those who cannot arrive, complete the supply process quickly by opening the roads. In this process, the approximate tonnage of 787 tankers sent to the region is 23.6 million liters, so the amount of fuel delivered to the region is at the level of 15.3 million liters. Most of the rest will be delivered on the day. All our citizens should rest assured that there is no stock problem. Because the Ataş storage facility in Mersin, the storage facility in Hatay, the Tüpraş Batman and the Kırıkkale refineries, the Diyarbakır storage facility provides 24/7 service and can supply fuel to our distributors at full capacity.
