After the earthquake, we made decisions to postpone the debts of our citizens residing in the region and with payment difficulties, and to increase credit card payment terms. In addition, our banks carry out their banking services in the earthquake zone with alternative methods such as mobile bus branches. Our priority right now is saving lives.
On the other hand, as soon as the earthquake occurred, the Extraordinary Management Center of the Natural Disaster Insurance Institution (DASK) in Ankara immediately intervened and started receiving notifications. In this framework, the first payment of compensation was made within 24 hours after the earthquake. Starting tomorrow, our commissioned independent experts and a team of civil engineers will begin their investigations in all regions.”

Recalling that yesterday they declared a state of force majeure until July 31, 2023 in the region of the earthquake, Minister Nebati said that taxpayers postponed their tax obligations that they had to comply with between February 6 and July 31 from the earthquake date.
Noting that they have made the necessary preparations for the extension of the payment terms of the installments to be paid in March, May and July of this year to August, October and December 2023 within the framework of restructuring laws numbered 7256 and 7326, which are still valid, Nebati said:
“In addition to all this, we ensure that all in-kind and cash donations made by our citizens to help campaigns initiated by AFAD are tax deductible. We will increase our support for our citizens living in the region and provide additional lending facilities. As a nation, we have endured many difficult days together. I hope that we leave these days behind as soon as possible in unity, solidarity and solidarity. I wish God’s mercy for our citizens who passed away, a speedy recovery for our injured citizens, and my condolences and patience for our nation.”

Nebati emphasized that citizens can go to the Governor’s Office, the Metropolitan Municipality, district municipalities, district governments and disaster coordination center in emergencies, and that 22 teams of experts and 92 people work in the field for psychological support.
