The prosecutor, who wrote an opinion on the lawsuit filed by ABB Chairman Yavaş for the cancellation of the regulation, which caused citizens who bought natural gas with the card system to be charged a subsequent increase, said: “The subscriber pays in advance for the gas that he has not yet used and perhaps will not use for a long time, and the administration takes the price of the goods that the business opportunity has not yet sold,” he said.

Unfairly collected money must be returned to the consumer

Ergün Kılıç, Secretary General of the Federation of Consumer Associations, said that they filed a lawsuit as a federation for the nullity of the rule, which led to a subsequent increase in pre-purchased natural gas, but that the State Council did not see consumers as a ‘party’ in this business. Noting that the lawsuit filed by ABB did not start, Kılıç said: “We hope that the lawsuit will be concluded as soon as possible and that the regulation that led to the unjust enrichment of the natural gas company will be canceled and the unjustly collected money will be returned to the consumers”.
