They stole gasoline from the poor without making an increase
in natural gas While waiting for the discount, it turned out that the citizen’s gasoline was stolen with secret price hikes. Since last October, when price hikes stopped, a smaller amount of natural gas has been charged to the cards of subscribers who bought gas with the same money each month. Since no official increase was announced during this period, citizens thought that they always bought natural gas at the same price. However, the hidden real increase was clearly seen in the examinations carried out on the invoices.
LOCAL NATURAL GAS EXPECTED
Natural gas last increased by 20.4 percent on September 1, 2022. Since then, there has never been an alleged increase in natural gas prices. On the contrary, citizens got into the expectation of a deep discount by pointing to local natural gas and the elections, which were said to be coming in March. However, it was revealed thanks to card counters that there was a hidden increase in natural gas rather than a discount, and great efforts were made to cancel it. Here is the hidden increase in natural gas detected in the capital Ankara: On October 11, 2022, 3,718 cubic meters of gas were charged to the card of the natural gas subscriber who deposited 20 thousand lira in the PTT. The same subscriber paid 20 thousand liras to the PTT again on December 21, 2022. However, this time 3,585 cubic meters of gas were charged to the card. The citizen invested 20 thousand liras of money in gasoline on January 25 of last year. This time, the amount of gas loaded decreased to 3,341 cubic meters.
DIMINISHED PURCHASING POWER
Although the natural gas company charged the same money from the citizen, it almost applied a hidden increase by giving less and less gas. Calculations show that the purchasing power of 20,000 lira gas decreased by 10.14 percent in the period from October to January, which means that there was a real increase.
3,341 cubic meters of gas instead of 9,778 cubic meters
The use of natural gas in residences increased by 164.13 percent in January, April, June, and September throughout 2022. Before these increases, 9,778 cubic meters of gas could be purchased for 20,000 liras in October 2021. The gas purchasing power of 20 thousand lire, which fell to 3,718 cubic meters in October 2022 due to price hikes, decreased to 3,341 cubic meters in the post-October period without the price hike.
Hidden boost rate found 4.5 percent
Natural gas rises after rising currency and energy prices last year, despite government subsidy of billions of lira, turned the backs of citizens. The retail selling price of a cubic meter of natural gas in Ankara, which was 0.180607 TL in October 2021, increased to 0.455210 TL in October 2022 after the increases. In January this year, the retail price of natural gas increased to TL 0.476011. In other words, the hidden increase in natural gas, which was made in the period in which it was said that there was no increase, reached 4.57 percent.
The natural gas exchange, which took place in 3 different periods, which is said to be a non-walk, reveals the hidden walk. While on October 11, 2022, 3,718 cubic meters of gas could be bought for TL 20,000, on January 25, 2023, only 3,341 cubic meters of gas were bought for the same money. The total loss of natural gas was 377 cubic meters.
