According to the statistics of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) industrial capacity report 2022, the rate of industrial facilities in the field of high-tech decreased from 2.38% to 2.31% in 2022.

The proportion of industrial facilities in the field of medium-high technology also decreased from 24.3 percent to 23.73 percent. The proportion of industrial facilities in the field of medium-low technology decreased from 30.57 percent to 30.26 percent. In the same period, the participation of large companies in employment decreased from 36.60 to 36.49 percent.

The number of capacity reports, which was 85,790 in 2021, increased by 11.67 percent to 95,804 in 2022. Between 1-9 in 44.70% of the production facilities to which these reports belong, among 10-49 at 39.20%, between 50-99 at 7.80%, between 100-249 at 5.75%, 2.55% have more than 250 employees.

ISTANBUL WITH THE HIGHEST EMPLOYMENT

According to current reports, the five provinces with the highest employment were Istanbul (790,646), Bursa (325,682), Izmir (259,311), Kocaeli (232,883) and Ankara (223,307). The last five provinces with the fewest number of employees were Iğdır (1,644), Hakkari (718), Ardahan (592), Tunceli (497), Bayburt (298), respectively.

THE PARTICIPATION OF LARGE COMPANIES IN EMPLOYMENT DECREASED

In the period 2021-2022, the share of industrial SMEs in employment increased from 63.40% to 63.51%, while the share of large companies decreased from 36.60% to 36.49%. Cities with the highest employment growth in the industry in 2022, compared to 2021; Bitlis (52.90 percent), Siirt (44.27 percent), Erzurum (39.63 percent), Şırnak (38.57 percent), Ardahan (37.04 percent).

INDUSTRIAL EMPLOYMENT DECLINED MORE IN YALOVA

MOST ENGINEERS WORK IN EAST MARMARA

As of the end of 2022, it was determined that the majority of engineers at industrial facilities work in eastern Marmara.

43,390 engineers in East Marmara, 42,398 engineers in Western Anatolia, 41,393 engineers in Istanbul, 26,832 engineers in the Aegean and 12,197 engineers in the Mediterranean are employed in industrial facilities. Of the total number of employees, 5.07 percent are engineers, 4.54 percent are technicians, 6.18 percent are teachers, 72.03 percent are workers, and 11.13 percent are administrative staff. .

MOST REPORT TO THE MANUFACTURE OF METALLIC PRODUCTS

At the end of 2022, the highest capacity report was prepared in ‘manufacture of fabricated metal products (excluding machinery and equipment)’ at a rate of 11.40 percent.

Then, the most coded activity groups were ‘manufacturing of food products’ 10.33 percent, ‘manufacturing of machinery and equipment not elsewhere classified’ 8.98 percent, ‘manufacturing of textile products’ 7.69 percent , ‘manufacture of rubber and plastic products’. the rate of 6.76 percent.

The last five activity groups for which the lowest capacity report was issued were manufacturing of tobacco products (0.08 percent), other service activities (0.03 percent), fishing and aquaculture (0.02 percent). percent), extraction of crude oil and natural gas (0.03 percent). ) and forestry and industrial production and firewood (0.002 percent).

GERMANY RANKS THE FIRST PLACE IN EASE WITH FOREIGN CAPITAL
