Strike decision in Berlin: all flights will stop

All flights will be stopped tomorrow, with the NOTAM issued by the civil aviation authority due to the strike of the employees of the passenger handling and control company at the airport in Berlin, Germany.

Ground handling staff and security guards, who could not agree in the third round of collective bargaining with Berlin-Brandenburg Airport (BER) in Germany, will hold a ‘warning strike’ on Wednesday, January 25 , demanding a salary increase.

In the statement issued by the United Services Industry Union, it was reported that the warning stoppage, which will include the employees of the airport operator, will begin in the first shift tomorrow morning and will end at night.

THY CANCELED THEIR FLIGHTS

Due to the strike, the German Civil Aviation Authority has published a NOTAM and announced that all flights will be stopped tomorrow at the airport.

Therefore, Turkish Airlines (THY) mutually canceled their flights TK-171, TK-1723, TK-1725, TK-1727 from Istanbul Airport to Berlin tomorrow. Anadolujet, on the other hand, canceled its flight TK7728 from Sabiha Gökçen Airport. (DHA)
