Increase in the salary coefficient of civil servants in social benefits

Derya Yanık, Minister of Family and Social Services, stated that after the adjustment made in January in the salary coefficient of civil servants, the old-age pension increased to TL 1,997, the disability pension from 40-69 percent to TL 1,594, the disability pension of 70 percent or more to TL 2,392, and the home care subsidy to TL 2,392 announced that the amount of the Social Economic Support (SED) aid increased to TL 4,336 and the payment Social Economic Support (SED) to 3 thousand 38 TL.

In his written statement on the increase in social assistance payments, Minister Yanık said: “We will deposit payments of pension for the elderly and disabled, Home Care Assistance and SED into the recipients’ accounts incrementally.”

18 BILLION TL PAID IN 2022

Underlining that an average of 560,000 disabled citizens receive home care assistance per month, Yanık stated that they provided TL 18 billion of home care assistance in 2022 in this context.

Emphasizing that they are based on the principle of supporting children primarily with their families, Minister Yanık also said, “The average monthly payment made to foster families per child has increased from 3,644 TL to 4,853 TL. TL”. (DHA)
