Construction production falls in the eurozone
Construction output in the euro zone decreased by 0.8 percent in November 2022 compared to the previous month.
The European Statistical Office (Eurostat) has published seasonally adjusted construction production data for the European Union (EU) and the Eurozone for the period of November 2022.
Consequently, construction output in the 19-member euro zone fell 0.8 percent in November compared with October. Construction production increased 1.3 percent compared to November 2021.
HIGHEST DECLINE IN SLOVENIA AND GERMANY
In the EU, construction production decreased by 0.4 percent in November compared to the previous month and increased by 1.8 percent compared to the same period in 2021.
Among the EU countries, the largest increase in construction output in November compared to the previous month was measured in Hungary with 6.8 percent, Poland with 2.5 percent and Belgium with 1, 6 percent.
The largest decrease was determined in Slovenia with 3.4 percent, Germany with 2.2 percent and Slovakia with 2 percent. (AA)
