The shortage of medicines, pharmaceuticals continues; He says ‘hear our cry for help’

The shortage of medicines, pharmaceuticals continues; He says ‘hear our cry for help’

The lack of medicines in pharmacies has reached such dimensions that it will rebel both to the health sector and to patients. Finally, the All Pharmacists Employers Union (TEIS) found the solution by writing an open letter to the Minister of Health, Fahrettin Koca.

In the TEIS letter, Koca addressed the following:

“Even though it’s been 3 weeks since you said ‘You’ll probably find the drug you’re looking for at the first pharmacy you enter’ in your Twitter post, our patients still have to go to the pharmacy to find the drug on their prescriptions. .”

‘WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DEAL WITH DRUG DISCHARGES’

The open letter addressed to Minister Koca, drawing attention to drug supply problems, is as follows:

“As pharmacists trying to provide drugs and pharmacy services at 29,000 locations across the country, we can no longer cope with drug shortages.

Following the update on the Pharmaceutical Price Decree and his meeting with industry representatives, 3 weeks have passed since his statement in his Twitter post on December 17, 2022 that “You will probably find the drug you are looking for in the first pharmacy you the one that enters”. “, but our patients still have to go to the pharmacy to find the drug on their prescriptions.

‘THIS FIRST TIME WE FEEL VERY USEFUL’

As pharmacy pharmacists, we are no longer able to find medicines even for ourselves and our relatives.

The medicines that we bought in barter in the neighboring pharmacies also ran out, since they did not return. This is the first time we feel so helpless.

‘It could not be solved by increasing the number of on-call pharmacies because…’

As pharmacy pharmacists, we are members of a profession that continues to serve without a penny extra in service, at our expense, and without permission after the shift.

The problem of the lack of medicines in response to our dedicated work; ‘increasing the number of on-call pharmacies’ could not be solved. Because the medicine that cannot be found by a duty pharmacy cannot be found by another duty pharmacy. Many of our colleagues do not even want to be on duty, since we are subjected to verbal and physical attacks due to lack of medication.

“Some companies are trying to trick you”

Dear Minister, the lack of availability of medicines has become a serious problem for human and public health.

Some pharmaceutical companies are trying to deceive you and our people by campaigning for the drugs that are not in the stores, as if the drugs exist and exist on the market.

‘WE WANT OUR CRY FOR HELP TO BE HEARD NOW’

As pharmacy pharmacists, we had to write this open letter to tell our problems and make our voices heard, for actions that have nothing to do with the current situation and the continuation of the devastating problem we are experiencing.

As we only want to provide ‘medical service’, which is our duty, we want our cry for ‘help’ to be heard.

So we want the medicine to be available and accessible. Because the drug that is not found is the most expensive drug.

Since the date you indicated that the solution is very close, we continue with the same problems, the flow of medicines from companies to our pharmacies has not returned to normal.

Frankly, we’re afraid to go back to the old days of SSK! With the conviction that it will mobilize all its resources, we offer and demand what is necessary so that the problem is resolved as soon as possible”. (PHOENIX)
