AKP President and Chairman Tayyip Erdoğan announced after the first cabinet meeting of 2023 that there will be no increases in roads and bridges for the whole year.
Making the statement, Erdoğan turned to Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati and said: “I want to deliver good news. Do not get excited. There will be no increase in the prices of road and bridge services throughout the year. Nureddin said: “You will not receive any money, so relax.” Nebati responded to Erdogan’s words with a laugh.

This year, a total of 53.65 billion lira will be paid to contractors operating the roads, bridges and tunnels under the public-private partnership (PPP), whose name is known as Deli Dumrul, because the money is take those that pass or do not pass.
It was said that 20.378 billion lira will be paid in 2022 for bridges, highways and tunnels that drivers dare not use because they are too expensive.
According to the 2023 budget data, the guarantee money to be paid to roads, bridges and tunnels this year is 2.6 times more than in 2022, or 163 percent more.
The amount to be paid to road, bridge and tunnel contractors, for which 14.3 billion lira was transferred in 2021, will reach 233 billion lira by the end of 2025.
