The principles of support for raw milk that will be granted to producers were determined

With the President’s Decision published in the Official Gazette, the issues related to the support for raw milk that will be applied in the production of raw milk in 2023-2024 and the regulation of the milk market are clarified.

Consequently, support payments will be made to farmers who are members of a producer organization that sells the raw milk they produce to the dairy company, for refrigerated cow’s milk marketed through buffalo, sheep, goat, and goat producer organizations. and producers during the periods and unit prices to be determined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Producers who convert the raw milk they produce into dairy products through producer organizations and sell them to the General Directorate of the Meat and Milk Institution (ESK) in the scope of milk market regulation will be able to benefit support for raw milk.

UNDER WHAT CONDITIONS WILL THE SUPPORT BE GIVEN?

Milk-producing companies with a free enterprise certificate will be eligible for this support on the condition that they sell their raw milk to local retailers and milk-filling facilities registered with the Ministry’s Milk Registration System (BSKS), which have the company registration certificate with the supply and sale of the product, in exchange for an invoice or receipt from the producer.

In the implementation of the regulation of the milk market, the difference between the purchase and the sale made by the IHC will be covered from the livestock support budget.

IT WILL BE DEPOSITED TO THE ACCOUNT OF THE FARMER AND PRODUCER

The support of the guilds of breeders of breeders, guilds of producers and agricultural cooperatives that have constituted the central guild will be deducted, at determined rates, in the name of strengthening peasant organizations. The remaining amount will be credited to the account of growers and producers.

The necessary resources for the payments to be made within the scope of the decision will come from the item destined to support livestock in the 2023-2024 budget of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests.

Those who do not comply with the provisions of the decision, make false statements and present documents, and public institutions and bodies will not be able to benefit from the support payments for raw milk. The decision came into effect on January 1. (AA)
