Expressing that they will continue the employer support of the minimum wage in the first half of this year, Elitaş said, “We are increasing the amount of the employer support of the minimum wage from 100 lira to 400 lira per month. We anticipate that 1.7 million workplaces and approximately 7.5 million policyholders will benefit from this support.”
‘TOTAL IMPACT OF 300 BILLION LIRA’
Elitaş from the AK Party also spoke about the impact analysis of the proposal as follows:
“The cost of increasing the lowest pension from 3,500 lira to 5,500 lira by 2023 is 21.9 billion lira, a 30 percent increase in pensions is 131.5 billion lira, the cost of applying support to the minimum wage of 400 lira in January- June period is 17.1 billion lira, the cost of corporate tax exemption filed for Champions League competitions in Istanbul is about 120 million lira, a 30 percent increase in wages and salaries of civil servants is 128.4 billion lira.
