New fee arrangement for mobile phones
The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) modified the term of mobile phone installments and the maturity limit of consumer credit available for the purchase of mobile phones.
The decision of the Board of Directors, which includes modifications to the BRSA Debit and Credit Card Regulations, was published on the institution’s website.
Consequently, the installment period for the purchase of refurbished mobile phones has been set at 12 months with no limit on the amount.
The amount of 5 thousand TL, which was taken into account to determine the maturity limit of consumer loans for the purchase of mobile phones, was increased to 12 thousand TL.
In this context, the maturity limit of consumer loans used for the purchase of mobile phones will be 12 months for mobile phones with a price of 12,000 lira or less.
Said expiration will be applied to 3 months for mobile phones of more than 12 thousand liras.
