HOW MUCH IS THE MILITARY QUOTA PAID?
In the law enacted in June 2019, the first amount paid was determined at 31 thousand 343 TL. Subsequently, the military service quota, which increased according to the salary coefficient of civil servants, was increased every six months, respectively.
The fee, which was TL 33,230 in July 2019, was determined to be TL 35,000 in the first half of 2020 and TL 37,70 in the second half. The amount of the fee, which was applied as 39,788 TL in the period January-June 2021, increased to 43,150 TL as of July 1.
The Ministry of National Defense applied a military service fee of TL 55,194 in the first 6 months of 2022.
In July 2022, the military service fee was 80 thousand 64 lira.

HOW ARE MILITARY DUES PAID CALCULATED?
In accordance with Recruitment Law No. 7179, the salary to be paid for paid military service is calculated by multiplying the figure of the indicator 240 thousand by the monthly coefficient of the public official in force on the day the payment is made. This figure is determined again in January and July of each year.
The currently applied military service fee is 80,000 64 TL (0.333603*240000=80064.72). Therefore, the military candidates are also closely following the increase in civil servants. According to the collective agreement signed between civil servants and the government, civil servants will receive a 6-month inflation increase in 2023.
In the case of monthly inflation of 3 percent in December, this rise is expected to exceed 18 percent. Therefore, if civil servants receive an increase to this rate, the paid military service quota is expected to be around 95,000. However, this figure may change in the event of a further increase.
HOW MUCH HAS THE COST INCREASED IN THE PAST?
The salary, which was 31,343 liras in June 2019, when the law that made paid military service permanent came into force, decreased to 32,230 liras the following month, 35,054 liras in the first half of 2020, 37 thousand 20 lira in the second half and 39 thousand 788 lira in the first half of 2021.
