Eyes on EYT regulation in Parliament
The EYT issue is expected to be resolved in the first weeks of 2023, with the proposed law, which includes the regulation on the Retirement Age (EYT), announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the Speaker of the Assembly next week.
The proposal, which will start the General Assembly process after discussions in the Parliamentary Plan and Budget Committee, is expected to be enacted in January.
The proposal to solve the problem of 23 years will cover those who started working before September 8, 1999. There will be no age limit for the EYT, which will benefit 2 million 250 thousand people.
KGF SUPPORT TO EMPLOYERS
Employers will be supported by the Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF) in terms of severance pay for EYT members. A special 5 point discount will be made on the SSI support premium for workers who leave due to EYT, receive severance pay but want to continue their job.
Since the EYT enactment process has not yet taken place, applications made at this time will not be valid. Once the legal process is complete, applications will be made to SSI through e-Government. (AA)
