EMRA increased the market sales rate for electricity produced under license in 2023
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) has increased the rate at which a licensed legal entity can sell the amount of annual electric power production recorded on its license within a calendar year, by 10 percent.
According to the EMRA decision published in today’s edition of the Official Gazette, this rate was increased by 10 percent compared to the rate of 40 percent determined in 2022 and determined by 50 percent for 2023.
LOWER FREE CONSUMER LIMIT
Consequently, in 2023, natural and legal consumers with an electrical energy consumption equal to or greater than 1,000 kWh will have the right to choose their suppliers.
MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM PRICE LIMITS HAVE BEEN DETERMINED
According to another decision published in the Official Gazette, the EMRA modified the minimum and maximum price limits on the following day and balanced the electricity market.
According to the decision, the minimum price limits will be 0 TL/MWh and the maximum price limits will be 4,200 TL/MWh in the relevant markets.
With the regulation enacted in September, the maximum price limit was increased to 4,800 TL. (Reuters)
