Turkey’s external debt is 442.9 billion dollars
As of September 30, 2022, the Ministry of Finance announced data on the balance of gross and net external debt, the balance of external debt guaranteed by the Treasury and the balance of net public debt, and the balance of the general government debt as defined by the European Union (EU).
Accordingly, Turkey’s gross external debt stock was realized at $442.9 billion, while the ratio of the stock to national income was 52.6 percent.
On the same date, the stock of net external debt was registered at 220.6 billion dollars. The ratio of shares to national income was 26.2 percent.
15.2 BILLION DOLLARS IN EXTERNAL DEBT WITH GUARANTEED TREASURY
The stock of external debt guaranteed by the Treasury was calculated at 15.2 billion dollars. The stock of net public debt was recorded at 2 trillion 297 billion lire in this period. The ratio of shares to national income was 18.3 percent.
The stock of general government debt as defined by the EU was 4 trillion 351 billion lira, and the ratio of this figure to national income was recorded at 34.8 percent. (AA)
