SDIF handed over Adularya Thermal Power Plant to Doruk Madencilik
The Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF) completed the tender process for the sale of the Adularya Yunus Emre Thermal Power Plant in Eskişehir, which it has managed as trustee since 2016, and transferred it to Doruk Madencilik.
According to the SDIF statement, after 3 unsuccessful tenders, Doruk Madencilik made the highest offer of 3,305,305,309,112 lira including VAT in the last tender with an estimated value of 1,715,500,000 Turkish lira on July 5th. , 2022.
OPENED IN 2016 BUT DID NOT START PRODUCTION
Following positive opinions from the Energy Market Regulatory Authority and the Competition Authority, the transfer process was completed on December 9, 2022, with final approval by the SDIF Fund Board.
With this sale operation, the debt of the Czech Export Bank, which financed the plant, was also resolved.
Although the thermal power plant, which currently employs 704 people and uses domestic lignite, was commissioned in 2016, it was unable to start power production due to technical and economic problems. With this transfer, the thermal power plant (two of 145 megawatts) will start production with a total capacity of 290 megawatts. (AA)
