Confidence in financial services rose in range
The financial services statistics and the financial services confidence index for December were announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT).
According to the survey results obtained by weighting and aggregating the responses of 155 institutions operating in the financial sector, the index increased 10.2 points in the range of 164.9.
When the diffusion indices of the survey questions that make up the index are analyzed, all sub-indices such as the business situation in the last three months, the demand for services and the expectation of the demand for services in the next three months affected FHGE in an upward direction.
IMPROVEMENT EXPECTATIONS IN THE STRENGTHENED BUSINESS CONDITION
According to the assessments of the business situation and the demand for services, assessments that the business situation has improved in the last three months compared to the previous month were strengthened.
According to the evaluations regarding employment, the trend in favor of those who reported an increase in employment in the last three months and those who expected an increase in employment in the next three months weakened.
AN INCREASE IN DEMAND IS EXPECTED
Assessments that there has been an increase in demand for services in the last three months and expectations that there will be an increase in demand for services in the next three months have also increased.
In December, when the confidence indices of the “Financial and Insurance Activities” sector are evaluated according to the NACE Rev.2 sectoral classification by subsectors, “64-Financial Services Activities (excluding insurance and pension funds)” and “66- The sectors of Activities Complementary to Financial Services and Insurance Activities” increased 10.8 and 8.6 points, respectively, with respect to the previous month, and decreased 4.9 points in the sector “65-Insurance, Reinsurance and Pension Funds (excluding compulsory social security services)” (BRITISH AUTOMOBILE CLUB)
