Destici gave a figure on the minimum wage
The BBP ‘Information, Consultation and Solidarity Meeting’ was held at a hotel in Ankara. At the meeting attended by BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici and party members, presentations on the economy were made.
Speaking at the meeting, Destici said: “Almost a century has passed since we declared the Republic. Despite the heavy themes that we have brought to the present since the last century and that have been presented to us, I believe that today we are at a promising level. Of course, we can and will be in a better place. We will work together to reach the point we have dreamed of. I think we will reach this level in the not too distant future.”
“WE MAKE AN APPROXIMATE OFFER OF 50 PERCENT”
Destici had this to say about the minimum wage and the EYT:
* Taking into account our business world and our co-workers, we make reasonable determinations and offers. We suggest an offer of around 50 percent.
* In the last meeting I saw that the business world is approaching this figure. I expect this to be announced tomorrow with a 50 percent increase. I estimate that it is more than $8,000.
* The second thing I’ll say is EYT. They are rightly looking forward to retirement and we have defended that for many years. The board cannot be changed in the game.
* I hope that the Popular Alliance, in which we are, can collect, correct and deliver the rights to the legitimate owner. (DHA)
