Sanction of the Competition Authority to Coca Cola
The Competition Board has decided to impose an administrative fine of TL 272.2 million on Coca-Cola Sales and Distribution (CCSD), a subsidiary of Coca Cola İçecek.
In the statement made last night to the Public Disclosure Platform, Coca Cola Icecek stated that the way to appeal this sanction is open before the Administrative Court, and indicated that the company will take all legal resources against this decision.
In the statement, it was also stated that the fine transferred to CCSD will be paid within the legal term of TL 204.1 million, taking advantage of the 25 percent early payment discount, and that the company will reserve a provision in the amount of the corresponding fine in its financial statements of December 31, 2022.
In the statement, it was also noted that an action for annulment with a request for a stay of execution will be filed in Ankara’s administrative courts within the legal deadline for annulment of the judgment. (Reuters)
