The negotiations of the minimum wage determination commission began with the worker’s request for an ‘increase plus tax bracket’ and the employer’s offer of ‘inflation plus social participation’.
Türk-İş President Ergün Atalay announced that they will start negotiating the minimum wage at 7,785 lira, which is the hunger limit.

The second minimum wage meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 14.
The minimum wage increase, which was determined at the end of four meetings in recent years, is expected to be announced at the end of three meetings this year.

At the negotiating table, employer representatives are expected to mention 6-month inflation plus the 10-15 point social participation formula.
