The number of wage earners increased in October
The Statistical Institute of Turkey announced the statistics of paid employees for the period of October 2022.
Consequently, the total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and service trade sectors increased by 7.4 percent in October 2022 compared to the same month of the previous year. While the number of wage earners was 13,861,065 people in the same month of the previous year, it rose to 14,883,717 people in October 2022.
Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In October 2022, the number of paid employees increased by 6.2% in the industrial sector, by 5.3% in the construction sector and by 8.5% in the commercial and service sector.
INCREASED 0.5 PERCENT MONTHLY
The total number of paid employees in the industry, construction and service trade sectors rose 0.5 percent in October compared with the previous month.
Looking at the sub-details of paid employees; In October 2022, wage earners increased monthly by 0.2 percent in the industrial sector, 1.0 percent in the construction sector, and 0.5 percent in the commercial and services sector.
