Consumer inflation slows in Germany in November

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Germany was reported to have decreased to 10 percent in November in line with expectations.

The German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) announced the CPI data for November.

Thus, the country’s annual inflation, which in October of this year was 10.4 percent, fell to 10 percent in November.

Monthly inflation, which was 0.9 percent in October, was 0.5 percent in November.

Consumer prices in Germany, which are consistent with the European Union (EU), were realized at the level of 11.3 percent per annum. In the previous month, an increase of 11.6 percent was observed.

ENERGY PRODUCTS INCREASE 38.7 PERCENT IN NOVEMBER

The country’s energy products rose 38.7 percent in November.

Regarding the announced inflation data, Georg Thiel, Head of the Federal Statistical Office, said: “We are seeing more and more price increases for many other goods besides energy. The continued increase in food prices is particularly evident for households.

IN DOUBLE DOMESTIC SINCE SEPTEMBER

On the other hand, annual inflation in Germany rose to 10.9 percent in September, reaching double digits for the first time in almost 20 years when the country adopted the euro.
