ELECTRICITY HOME 3, INDUSTRY 4 HIGH

House electricity rate three times a year; the industrial tariff was increased four times. While the lower level was increased by 52 percent and the high level by 100 percent, with the highest increase in the history of the Republic taking place on January 1, 2022; The industrial tariff was increased by 100 percent. On April 1, 2022, another 20 percent increase in the industrial rate was made. On June 1, 2022, the housing rate was increased by 15 percent and the industrial rate by 25 percent.

INCREASE IN HOUSING 184 PERCENT, IN INDUSTRY 433 PERCENT

Finally, on September 1, 2022, there was a 20 percent increase in the housing rate and a 50 percent increase in the industrial rate. Consequently, the housing rate is 89.5 percent in the low level; At the high level, it increased by 184.2 percent. The industrial tariff increase rate was 433 percent. In 2022, the increase was 142.5 percent with three increases in the agricultural irrigation fee.

NATURAL GAS 4 REGISTRATION IN HOUSING AND INDUSTRY

Natural gas quadrupled across all subscription types in 2022. On January 1, 2022, the natural gas residential rate increased by 25 percent and the natural gas industry rate increased by 50 percent. On April 1, 2022, the housing fee was increased by 35 percent and the industrial fee by 50 percent again. On June 1, 2022, the housing rate was increased by 30 percent and the industrial rate by 10 percent.

INCREASE IN HOUSING 164 PERCENT, IN INDUSTRY 273 PERCENT

KITCHEN PIPE INCREASED BY 37 PERCENT

The price of a 12-kilogram kitchen tube, which was 238 lira on January 1, 2022, rose to 326 lira with the increases made during the year. Consequently, in 2022, the 12-kilogram cook tube has increased by approximately 37 percent.

‘LIGHT AND NATURAL GAS INCREASE MORE THAN 2.5 TIMES’

Akın said that the purchasing power of all citizens, especially salaried employees, has melted due to the wrong policies of the government.

“In 2022, energy bills were the rising champions. The tripling of the electricity bill in residences caused an increase of up to 184 percent. In natural gas, the increase in bills rose to 164 percent with four increases. In other words, electricity and natural gas bills increased more than 2.5 times in 2022. At a time when official inflation is 84 percent, each increase in energy increases inflation even more.”
