MASAK President Appointed and Gone

WAITING FOR THE 7TH PRESIDENT
First of all, Nejat CoÅŸkun, who remained in the Ecevit government, was fired on December 1, 2002 and wanted to replace Genç Osman YaraÅŸlı. However, this first appointment operation turned his back on then President Ahmet Necdet Sezer. As a formula, CoÅŸkun was sent to The Hague as a financial adviser in May 2003, and YaraÅŸlı was appointed MASAK’s president by proxy. Later, Adnan Ertürk, Mürsel Ali Kaplan, İbrahim Hakkı Polat, Osman Dereli and lastly Hayrettin Kurt served in MASAK. The new president is said to be appointed early this week.
