AUDITED IN ANKARA

Immediately afterwards, the teams from the Ministry of Commerce carried out the inspection. In the audits, the team led by Adnan Benli, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Internal Trade, carried out exorbitant price increases and label inspections for Ankara markets. The teams examined the prices of basic necessities, especially vegetables and fruits, basic foods and cleaning products in the markets.

The audits checked whether there was a difference between the price on the product label and the price on the box, the information on the label and the imprint of the product, and the price of the discounted product before the discount. The teams brought the randomly selected products to the checkout and compared the prices.

Adnan Benli, in his assessment to the press on the inspections, said that as a Ministry, they carried out exorbitant price increases and label inspections in the ambit of the Retail Trade Regulation Law and the Consumer Protection Law.

Benli indicated that the conformity of the price tags of the products with the relevant legislation, the writing of the unit price, the date of change, the suitability of the case and the gondola prices are verified, and a fine of 615 liras is applied for product. in case of any breach.
