Staff statement from the Ministry of Labor to contracted personnel

Vedat Bilgin, Minister of Labor and Social Security, made further statements on the issue of contract staffing.

Making a statement on his social media account, Bilgin said, “We are solving the problems of long years and recruiting contract employees.”

Billin continued:

“Also, it’s not just about 4-D employees; We also include contract professors, 50-D research assistants who have long-term security concerns, and contract artists from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.”

Stating that the regulation covers almost 100 percent of the people hired, Bilgin said, “It’s a regulation that covers approximately 424,000 people.”

Bilgin also said the following regarding the minimum wage: “We will not oppress workers with inflation. The destruction of inflation continues, we will make an arrangement that takes this into account.”
