Turkey’s oil imports rose 9.16 percent in September

Turkey’s total imports of oil and petroleum products increased 9.16 percent in September compared to the same month a year earlier, reaching 4,348,338 tons.

According to the “Oil Market Sector Report” of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority for the month of September, the import of crude oil, which is the largest item of Turkey’s total oil imports, increased by 4. 96 percent and reached 2 million 984 thousand 449 tons. .

In this period, diesel imports decreased 4.30 percent to 905 thousand 557 tons. Aviation and marine fuels, gasoline and types of fuel oil, and other products made up the remainder of imports.

Thus, total imports increased 9.16 percent in September compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 4,348,338 tons. The largest import of crude oil and oil derivatives was from Russia with 2 million 41 thousand tons, followed by Iraq with 1 million 76 thousand tons and Kazakhstan with 262 thousand 293 tons.

On the other hand, gasoline sales increased 2.95 percent in September compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 307 thousand 21 tons, diesel sales decreased 9.44 percent to 2 million 189 thousand 885 tons. Total sales of petroleum derivatives decreased 6.98 percent and were registered at 2,642,196 tons.

EXPORTS OF PETROLEUM DERIVATIVES INCREASE 57.6 PERCENT

Turkey’s aviation fuel exports increased 54.9 percent in September to 377,086 tons.
In said period, the export of marine fuels increased 82.9 percent to 150 thousand 79 tons.

Gasoline-type exports increased 0.49 percent to 126,128 tons, and diesel-type exports increased 32 percent to 234,744 tons. In the oil market, total exports with other products increased 57.6 percent and amounted to 1,202,847 tons.

In September, diesel production decreased 7.41 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and went to 1,407,980 tons, gasoline production increased 5.07 percent to 461,226 tons, the aviation fuel production increased by 48.07 percent to 451 thousand 831 tons.

Marine fuel production increased by 5.89 percent and was estimated at 133,627 tons. The total production of refinery petroleum products with other types of fuel increased 1.64 percent to 3 million 269 thousand 84 tons. (AA)
