The farmer, who uses 50 tons of water, will now pay a water bill of 50 lira.

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Insect said that although the increases in electricity, high investment and operating costs have increased day by day, he wanted the issue to be discussed in the Plan and Budget Commission to make arrangements. regarding water prices. Recalling that in Antalya, where there are 1,397,852 subscribers, water is supplied from deep wells using electricity through submersible pumps and motors, Mayor Insect reminded that the cost of ASAT electricity in October 2022 is 182 million lire.

Saying that members of the Plan and Budget Commission and spokespersons of political parties held a meeting on water reduction in ASAT, Chairman Muhittin Insect said, “My friends made a very fine calculation on water. We are doing a first in Turkey. We make 1 lira per ton of water up to 5 tons. In Antalya, 5 tons of water is now a cost of bread, that is, 5 TL. At the moment, we will provide water to our citizens at an almost free price. Our citizen, who paid 290 lira on the water bill last month, will pay 126 TL at a discount.
