New call for union strike in France
In France, the unions called a strike demanding a wage increase in the face of rising prices.
The country’s largest trade union federation, “CGT”, and the largest education workers’ union, “FSU”, called strikes, demanding wage increases in line with the rate of inflation.
Unions reported demonstrations in the cities of Cherbourg, Granville and Saint-Lo in the Normandy region.
In recent weeks, unions in France have staged numerous strikes demanding a 10 percent increase in wages for public employees and a general regulation against inflation.

THE THREAT OF GOVERNMENT SANCTIONS TO UNIONS
A large-scale strike has been called for November 10 in the public transport sector in the capital, Paris, and in the Ile-de-France region in which it is located.
