Based on analysis conducted by examining price changes for 2,023 variants of 253 models from the top 32 best-selling brands in the online pre-owned market, 104,040 listings in model years 2010-2022, retail sales in the online pre-owned passenger and light commercial vehicle market in June 2023. Prices were seen to be up 6 percent compared to the previous month. Looking at the total for the first 6 months, vehicle prices on the used car market increased 43 percent on average.

SALE OF SECOND HAND ELECTRIC CARS

When assessing Turkey’s second-hand online passenger and light commercial market by engine type, diesel cars had the highest market share as of June 2023, with sales of 104,111 units.

Diesel was followed by gasoline with 66,504 sales and hybrids with 4,785 units.

Sales of autogas cars were 4,271 and second-hand electric cars 1,077. In June 2022, 329 used electric cars were sold.

In addition, 37 percent of passenger cars sold last month were C-segment vehicles.
