The validity period of the vehicle inspection is extended in the provinces of OHAL
The vehicle inspection period in the provinces where a state of emergency (OHAL) was declared due to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay was frozen until May, when the state of emergency expires.
In the statement from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, it was recalled that the Presidential Decree on vehicle inspection procedures in the provinces where the state of emergency was declared was published in the Official Gazette.
In the statement, it was stated that a state of emergency was declared in Kahramanmaraş, Adana, Adıyaman, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kilis, Malatya, Osmaniye and Şanlıurfa due to the earthquakes.
TRAFFIC FINES WILL BE CANCELED
“The validity periods of the inspections of the vehicles of our citizens residing in provinces declared in a state of alarm and the vehicles certified to be in said provinces after February 6 are extended. As of February 6, the vehicle inspection procedures of those who have expired until the end of the state of alarm will be considered valid up to one month after the end of the state of alarm.
Up to 30 days after the state of alarm ends, our citizens will be able to have their vehicles checked wherever they want. During this period, traffic tickets issued for not having an inspection will also be cancelled. (AA)
