Nissan recalls more than 527,000 vehicles

Nissan has recalled more than 527,000 vehicles for a malfunction that could cause the electric motor part to catch fire.

According to the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT), automaker Nissan has received reports of defects in engine parts.

According to the ministry, Nissan decided to recall its vehicles due to a malfunction that could cause the electric motor part to catch fire.

It was explained that the error reports were caused by a component failure in the electric motors for the automatic start-stop system.

5 VEHICLES ON FIRES, 6 VEHICLES PARTIALLY BURNED

In the MLIT statement, it was reported that Nissan production, 5 vehicles have caught fire so far and 6 vehicles have partially burned.

After the bug reports reached Nissan, the automaker recalled a total of 527,491 vehicles, including the X-Trail, Serena minivan and Landy minivan models.

About half of the recalled vehicles were manufactured between September 2010 and June 2017 and could catch fire. (AA)
