In Turkey, where the number of vehicles registered for traffic reached 26.5 million last year, there is one vehicle for every three people, while in Antalya, Muğla and Burdur, one person in two owns a vehicle.

According to information collected from Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) data, 53.9% of the 26,482,847 vehicles registered for circulation in Turkey last year are cars, 16.2% are vans , 15.6% are motorcycles. Tractors accounted for 7.9 percent, trucks 3.5 percent, minibuses 1.8 percent, buses 0.8 percent, and special vehicles 0.3 percent.

While Istanbul was the province with the highest number of vehicles with a total of 4,940,010 vehicles, this city was followed by Ankara with 2,387,460 vehicles, İzmir with 1,650,646 vehicles and Antalya with 1 million. 317 thousand 564 vehicles.

MINIMUM VEHICLE IN HAKKARI, TUNCELİ AND BAYBURT

The provinces with the lowest number of vehicles were Hakkari with 8,802 vehicles, Tunceli with 10,251 vehicles and Bayburt with 16,425 vehicles.

When evaluating registered vehicles in traffic according to population, there is one vehicle for every 3 people in Turkey.

In Antalya, Burdur and Muğla, there is one vehicle for every two people.

ONE VEHICLE FOR EVERY 2 PEOPLE IN ANTALYA AND MUĞLA

The number of vehicles registered for traffic is 591 thousand 730 (57.9%) in Muğla with a population of 1 million 21 thousand 141, and in Burdur with a population of 273 thousand 716 148 thousand 8 (49.8%) and a population of 2,619,832. In Antalya, it was determined at 1,317,564 (50.3 percent).

On the other hand, 1 vehicle was seen to fall on 31 people in Hakkari. Hakkari, which ranks last on the list with this ratio, has a population of 278,218 and a number of vehicles of 8,892. This province was followed by Şırnak with 1 vehicle for 18 people and Ağrı with 1 vehicle for 17 people.

ONE CAR LEFT FOR 6 PEOPLE IN TURKEY

On the other hand, there are a total of 14 million 269 thousand 352 cars registered to transit in Turkey. In Turkey, there is 1 car for every 6 people on average.

Taking into account the ratio in question, Ankara stands out among the 3 provinces with the highest number of cars. At the end of last year, the number of cars in Ankara is 1,743,011 and the population is 5,747,325. In other words, one car for every 3 people in the capital.

The number of cars in Istanbul was recorded at 3,328,8 million and the population at 15,840,900. According to this, there is an average of one car for every 5 people in the city.

İzmir, which has a population of 4,425,789, has 897,864 cars. In İzmir, there is a car ownership of about 1 in 5 people. (AA)
