The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) published the motor land vehicle statistics for the month of December.
According to the statement made by TURKSTAT, the number of registered vehicles in circulation increased by 10.1 percent in Turkey in 2022 compared to the previous year, reaching 1,269,912 vehicles, while the number of vehicles whose registrations were eliminated decreased by 17.1 percent to 35,585 vehicles.
Thus, an increase of 1,234,327 units was achieved in the total number of vehicles in transit in 2022. In December, 137,173 vehicles were registered for circulation.
Of the vehicles registered in circulation in December, 41.2 percent were cars, 37.2 percent motorcycles, 12.2 percent trucks, 6.4 percent tractors, and 2.1 percent trucks. and 0.5 percent, the minibus 1%, buses 0.3% and special vehicles 0.1%. .
11.7 PERCENT MONTHLY INCREASE
The number of vehicles registered in circulation increased by 11.7 percent compared to the previous month. Compared to the previous month, the number of vehicles registered for traffic in December increased 37.6 percent in motorcycles, 12 percent in tractors, 2.3 percent in minibuses, 1.9 percent in automobiles, 18.9 percent in buses, 17.2 percent in trucks and 5.2 percent in vans and special vehicles decreased by 1.7 percent.
The number of vehicles registered in circulation increased by 109.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In relation to the same month of the previous year, the number of vehicles registered for transit in December was 264.2 percent for motorcycles, 91.2 percent for cars, 84.0 percent for minibuses, and 43.2 percent for vans , 26.3 percent in tractors, 24.3 percent in buses, 24.3 percent in trucks, while it increased 16.9 percent, it decreased 19.7 percent in special purpose vehicles.
