Passenger car exports contracted 2.5 percent in 2022

EXPORTS TO FRANCE AND SPAIN DECREASE
The sector exported the largest number of passenger cars to France last year. Export sales to this country in 2022 decreased 12.6% compared to 2021, going from 1 billion 737 million 240 thousand dollars to 1 billion 517 million 945 thousand dollars.
An increase of 31.71 percent was achieved in foreign sales to the United Kingdom, which is the second country with the most exports. In 2021, $807,672,000 worth of passenger cars were sold to the United Kingdom, and $1,63,753,000 were sold last year.
Exports of passenger cars to Italy, which ranks third, increased by 1.84 percent, going from $882,558,000 to $898,803,000.
