Purchase guaranteed, the government will receive 500 Toggs this year
It is planned that 30,000 electric cars produced by Togg will be made available to government agencies. The Government Procurement Office (DMO) will be in charge of Togg’s public procurement.
Togg, which has a public purchase guarantee, was made clear in the calendar. First of all, Togg’s C-segment SUV model will take its place in the vehicle inventory of government institutions.
Under the protocol signed by DMO with Togg in 2020, a total of 9,500 C-SUVs, 15,750 C-Sedans and 4,750 C-MPV/VANs are planned to be purchased, starting with the purchase of 500 C-SUVs in 2023. With the purchase of the business model, this number will reach 30 thousand.
500 Toggs to buy in 2023 correspond to 0.43% of the 115 thousand vehicles in the public sector.
Treasury and Finance Minister Nureddin Nebati said: “We are also implementing the procurement guarantee for our country’s vision project Togg. With the use of these vehicles in the public sector, we have associated this place with the DMO and made a purchase guarantee. By sending Togg to the governors, we will make him appear all over Turkey.” he said.
In Turkey Automobile Business Group (Togg), Anadolu Group, BMC, Kök Group, Turkcell, Zorlu Holding each have a 19 percent stake, and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB ) has a 5 percent partnership.
The German Bosch for the Togg engine, the Chinese Siro for its battery, the German Edag for its integration, the English Mira for the chassis system, the Italian Prinfarina for its design.
